The winter months are the quietest in the Metolius Basin. One of many reasons to head over the mountain, or out of the high desert, to get in a little time on the slopes, the trails, or to build the most fabulous snowman, or woman, ever. If interested in blazing your own trails don’t forget to purchase your sno-park permits. Other fun outings would be tobogganing, snowboarding or tubing, cross country skiing, fireside reading, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or, even, winter bird watching. Save some time in your busy schedule for one or more of the Cowboy Christmas events held throughout Sisters Country.
