The Metolius River Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to unify and coordinate the efforts of local businesses in promoting the recreational and scenic values of the Metolius Recreation Area. As the Metolius Basin and Suttle Lake areas increase in use and popularity, we remind you
to please make your impact "light on the land". Please respect the few but important rules
regarding fires, camping, litter, fishing and trail use. The Metolius Basin has been designated
as the Metolius Conservation Area where forest management emphasizes the retention of the old
growth ponderosa pine ecosystem and where the use of motorized vehicles are restricted to designated
roads. It is our hope that not only will you stay & play, but also help us to preserve and protect.
